Personal Photoshoot

My idea was to take photos of my friend's sons. The reason I choose to do this as my assignment is that kids grow up fast and it is essential to have memories of every step they take. Also, what I like that you can record not just moments but also the feelings of people which comes through their facial expressions.

After taking the pictures in class I used Photoshop to edit them. I cropped some of them and played with brightness, contrast, vibrance and desaturating as the evidence shows on the images below. By desaturating a few photographs it produced a more appealing composition.

When taking the photographs, I both did inside and outside ones as well. This allowed me to practice setting ISO as appropriate and aperture.
My favourite photo was taken using what I learnt in the area called vantage points. I took the photo while the baby was laid flat on a blanket, and I captured it from the worm’s eye view.

And that smile is hard not to love as well.
